Hi. I’m Black Heart Witch, an upcoming author on shadow work rooted in modern witchcraft, mysticism and neo-pagan ritual. I hope you find the subject matter enticing! At this stage, the project is quite some time from completion, as I am finishing a degree in nursing (must not quit my night job, as it will pay for indie publishing) and maintaining ye olde work-life balance. It may not sound like there’s much time for magick in my life, but on the contrary, I live a life utterly infused with magick. It’s a witchy thing!

I wanted to get this domain up and running, to pop in and say hello to my future readers (I love you, with all my black heart) and get the energies and intentions set for this website. No living, breathing human being is likely read this right away, and that’s okay. My intention is out there, reverberating through the universe. I know the universe hears me and responds. This, in itself, is an act of magick which says, “Dear sisters, brothers, and all my siblings, I am here! I am part of the witchcraft community. I have a valuable contribution to make, that I know you will benefit from.” 

A spell of sorts has now been cast, to connect with readers. That’s all I need to do. I’m not worried about aggressively self-promoting or going to great lengths to be heard on social media (of course, a little goes a long way). I trust myself, my connection to the universe, and my connection to other witches. All the while, I am happy to let my brand grow organically! What better fertiliser than a little magick?

For obvious reasons, I am remaining tight-lipped about the book I am writing except to say, it’s probably not what you’re thinking. You can throw all preconceived notions about your personal darkness and the shadow-self out the window. This book will instruct you on how to rid yourself of baneful programming and embrace the old-renewed. Shadow work can be hard, but the rewards are more than worth it. That’s all I can say for now.
